I dragged out my House season 3 dvd's yesterday and re-affirmed my love for "One Day, One Room". I don't think words can appropriately express how much I love House in that episode. HL's acting continues to amaze me. The parallels between Cameron's patient and House, and House's patient and Cameron completely blow me away.
Of course, I also had to skip over to "Half-Wit" to watch the kiss scene, 'cause...yeah. :)

The only thing I have to say is that things like this will happen when you drive an hour and a half to see someone and they'd rather go out to dinner with their other friends. *grumbles*
Anyway, Roomie and I went to a dance this weekend, which was loads of fun. We got to see friends we hadn't seen in ages. They're all psychotic like us, so it's no wonder we're all friends. :D
Also, I'm seriously considering entering the stillness challenge over at

Also, I just finished re-watching the first season of Alias. I forgot how much I love that show! Syd/Vaughn is just too cute not to love. Besides, Michael Vartan is made of hotness. *serious nod*

Obviously, 2T, you shall be receiving email from me shortly. And don't even try to tell me you aren't brilliant. I won't be listening. ;-)

Ron Gardenhire is at the motel I work at, lounging in the hot tub, as I type!
I'm still in a state of semi-shock. Thankfully, I'm able to function just fine. Although if it were Hugh Laurie, I'd be dead on the floor right now from mega-shock. Also, if it were Paul Gross. Or Richard Dean Anderson. (Which is the most likely, considering he grew up in MN, and still has a cabin around where I live.)
I'm rambling. Shutting up.

For the Firefly fans on my f-list...
Needless to say, I am a source of great amusement to my family and coworkers. I don't say friends because they're just as disturbed as I am. We've been known to have entire conversations in quotes and lines from songs.
It's sad, really.

Pairing: House/Cameron, mentions of Chase/Cameron
Warnings: Spoilers for "Half-Wit". Other than that…I got nothin'. :-)
Summary: I don't love him, she tells herself sternly, and lets herself believe it for an instant.

![]() You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings. You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun. Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. |
Although I don't consider myself aggressive, or a "Type A" personality...although I suppose that's where my perfectionism comes in. And I'm more comfortable at home than anywhere else. Still, everything else is pretty much spot on. *is a bit freaked out*

Man uses aunt's underwear to put out fire...huh?
So, I've got a fic in progress that - if everything goes according to plan and my brain doesn't explode - should be up sometime this weekend. *crosses fingers*
Basically, I want to reassure my betas that YES, I promise I will finish and post it! =) *snuggles

I'm at work.
In the building where I work, there is a small entryway between the freezing cold outside and the hotel lobby.
This entryway is equipped with a motion sensor that goes off whenever anyone so much as twitches in that area.
It goes off in the back room where we fold laundry.
Sounds like a doorbell. Seriously.
There's a little punk that's been gabbing on his cellphone for the past twenty minutes in that area.
PACING.
Please. Could one of you kill me now? I'm being driving insane by a doorbell.

To be perfectly honest, never in a million years did I ever think one of my fics would be nominated for anything. I know people enjoy them, and that's enough for me. But this completely blows me away. Thank you to whoever it was that nominated me - I may sneak over there later and see who it was, so I can thank them profusely in a proper and more intelligible manner.
Enough of my gibberish - I just had to share my giddiness!
